After an informative visit to the WALCON Marine manufacturing facility a few weeks ago, a meeting (and party) at Southampton Boat Show, we have agreed a long-term partnership with WALCON to enable us to continue to improve our marine infrastructure in coming years.
WALCON are world leaders in Marine installation and have helped tremendously with technical planning for replacement of old and substandard pontoons.
This year in addition to 14 new pontoons and many floats, we have ordered over 850 metres of new hardwood edging and deck boards to allow commencement of an ongoing maintenance regime along the access fingers.
We will replace some sections on pontoon E to make a fully ducted leg for wiring, and will be using some of the excess un-ducted pontoons to double the width of our fuel berth!
