Distance approx 85nm

After departing from Campbeltown and rounding the Mull of Kintyre, heading north towards the Island of Gigha leaving Islay and the Ardmore islands to port, Cara island and Gigha to starboard, the entrance to the Sound of Islay opens up on your port hand side with Jura and the Small Isles abeam.

You will see ahead to starboard the entrance to Loch Coalisport continuing northwards on the Sound of Jura again to starboard you will see the MacCormaig Isles and the entrance to Loch Sween over on the Jura shore.
You will notice the anchorages Lowlandmans Bay/Tarbert Bay and Lussa Bay all worth a visit to explore. Soon you will see on the starboard side the entrance to Loch Crinan and the Dorus Mor and to the port the Gulf of Corryvreckan.

Heading up Loch Shuna leaving Scarba Luing and Shuna to port and Eilean Arsa to starboard. You will spot the sheltered entrance to Craobh Marina. When entering the marina the office can be contacted on VHF channel 37 or 80.

After departing the canal and heading out of Loch Crinan to the Sound of Jura and onward towards Craignish Point and the Dorus Mor then continuing up the Sound of Jura to
Loch Shuna keeping the Island of Shuna to port and Eilean Arsa to starboard you will very soon spot the sheltered entrance to Craobh marina on the starboard side.

When entering the marina the office can be contacted on VHF channel 37 or 80.

Distance approx 17nm

Exit Oban Bay by Kerrera Sound towards the Firth of Lorn with the Island of Kerrera to starboard you will see ahead to port the entrance to Loch Feochan and also Ardencaple Bay in the distance. Your heading will now be towards Insh Island and the Sound of Insh. Now is the time to decide whether to pass Easdale Island outside or to go down through Easdale Sound towards Cuan Sound and onwards to Seil Sound which then continues on to Shuna Sound heading south towards Craobh. You will leave Degnish Point to port and the Island of Shuna to starboard you will see the well sheltered entrance to Craobh Marina.
