Covid-19 Update from Holt Leisure Group
To use a marine analogy, we are all in uncharted waters with the current Covid-19 pandemic, dealing with a situation which is changing daily.
Holt Leisure Group’s priority is, and always will be, the safety and security of our staff, customers and the boats in our marinas.
To that end we have initiated many changes in the way we operate – some that may be apparent and many that will not be – and being cognisant of the daily briefings from WHO, the government and the NHS.
We have closed the Chandlery and Chartroom Restaurant at Kip in order to allow staff to remain at home on furlough, initiated home working for as many other staff across our marinas as possible, and ensured that front line staff remain on full pay as essential workers and to ensure that the marinas and our customers boats remain safe and secure.
We are operating daytime patrols checking the security of all customers boats and the pontoons while our new security company provides full cover during night-time hours.
For added peace of mind, our new Kip Marina Webcams are now live on our website so you can view the marina from wherever you are.
From our business perspective, and that of our colleagues and competitors, it is difficult to decide on further policies currently until such times as we know whether:
(a) We will receive any government support for the marine industry (other than payroll support for furloughed staff) as currently there is no such support in place.
(b) The length of time we remain in the current restricted operational circumstances included non-essential travel and the logistical implications of this.
As valued customers, we would assure you that we are constantly reviewing the situation and aim to react timeously to any changes we may encounter while maintaining our prime objective of the safety and security of staff, customers and the boats.
In the meantime, if you have a specific request regarding a check on your vessel or another specific concern you can contact info@kipmarina.co.uk and we will attend as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe.
